Full-time, exempt position/unrepresented group, plus benefits including, PERS 2% @ 55, city health insurance (Kaiser, Blue Shield, etc.), dental, vision, life insurance, longevity, executive leave, and ICMA 457 & 401A plans.
Under administrative direction from the Assistant City Manager, the Human Resources Manager will plan, direct, manage and oversee the activities and operations of the Human Resources Department including employee and labor relations, affirmative action, employee training and development programs, recruitment and selection, employee benefits, classification and compensation, development and administration of policies and procedures and risk management activities.

Education: Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university with major coursework in Business Administration, Public Administration, Human Resource Administration or a closely related field. Experience: Five to eight years of relevant work experience in Human Resources and Risk Management, including 3 years of supervisory management and administrative responsibility. Experience in a municipal or other public agency setting is highly desirable.
