This position is responsible for directing and managing the work activities of those engaged in: treatment, production and transmission of water supplies; maintenance, installation, repair or replacement of water distribution facilities, customer service and meter reading; vehicle maintenance, and materials inventory operation and control. Participates in the development, expenditure, and monitoring of the budget. Provides assistance in planning for the extension, enlargement, and modification of the District’s distribution system; Oversees customer services related to the Operations Department. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in civil or sanitary engineering; registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of California is desirable; Five (5) years of increasingly responsible and diversified supervisory experience with personnel involved in the fields of construction, operation and maintenance of a water treatment and distribution system. Management experience is desirable. Requires a valid California Driver’s License.
